Tour a Village Home Stores kitchen design in a new Quad Cities home built by Advance Homes with Shoji White painted cabinetry and a Medium stained kitchen island.

<p>We have another great kitchen tour to share with you and this one features a bestselling painted white cabinet finish paired with a great medium wood tone finish for the island. Let&rsquo;s have a look around this open concept kitchen design in the great room of a new home built in the Quad Cities by Advance Homes with cabinetry, hardware, and lighting from Village Home Stores. </p>
<h2>Shoji White Painted Cabinet Kitchen</h2>
<p>The main perimeter of this kitchen is fit with our Koch Classic Cabinetry in the Bristol door and a painted white finish named Shoji White. There are three zones in the kitchen design perimeter: the cooking zone, the wall that includes the refrigerator surround and microwave, and a dry bar area at the kitchen entrance. </p>

<p>The pendant lighting that hangs above the island is from our Hinkley Lighting line. These are the Collins pendants. They measure 20&rdquo; and are shown here in a Black Oxide finish. <p>Speaking of lighting, we absolutely love the use of undercabinet lighting in the kitchen toespace by this builder. How amazing does this look!? Imagine the kitchen in the evening hours with that toekick glowing. </p>
<h2>Maple Frontier Stained Kitchen Island</h2>
<p>At the center of the kitchen is a large kitchen island with the cleanup zone of the design. The island is a single-level height including the kitchen sink and dishwasher facing the cooking zone. There is an overhang for counter-height stools on two sides of the island and accessible storage on all sides of the island.</p>

<p>The kitchen island is installed with the same Bristol doorstyle as the perimeter cabinetry but in a Maple wood with the &ldquo;Frontier&rdquo; stain applied. Frontier is a great medium wood tone option available at Village, and it looks amazing on many woods. We have samples available in the showroom if you would like to see this same stain applied on another wood species. </p>

<p>Looks great in video and even better in person! One of the main focal points of the entire great room space is the range hood on the cooking zone wall. </p>
<h2>Large Wood Range Hood Design with Cabinetry to Countertops</h2>
<p>For this range hood cabinet design, we included a large, paneled wood hood cabinet in the same Shoji White finish that can house the blower insert for the cooktop below. Then we added tall wall cabinets on each side to bookend and anchor the space visually.</p>

<p>These tall cabinets extend down to the countertop, and they aren&rsquo;t just decorative columns, they each open. With this setup the user in the cooking zone can access shelves for spices and cooking oils plus have all the cookware and pans just steps away below in the base cabinets. </p>

<h2>Walk in Pantry with Arched Doorway</h2>
<p>The storage in this space is not just limited to the kitchen. There is a stylish extension to the kitchen through an arched doorway between the cooking wall and the refrigerator wall of the design. A wall that is visible from the kitchen includes a window with bases, wall cabinets, and added countertop space. This gives the homeowners a sideboard area that is tucked away but very accessible.</p>

Shoji White Painted Kitchen with Medium Maple Island

An oak cabinet kitchen remodel story in Rock Falls, Illinois with design, product, and complete project management remodel services by Village Home Stores.

<p>Welcome a the newly remodeled kitchen in a Rock Falls, Illinois home. This kitchen renovation was part of a multi-room project management remodel handled start to finish by the kitchen and bath remodel experts at Village Home Stores. Village remodeled multiple rooms at the back end of this home including a back entrance sunroom/porch, a new bathroom, a hallway space converted into a laundry area, and the kitchen we are sharing here. We also used this opportunity to widen other doorways and update some doors and other flooring hardware and trim in the home.</p>

<p>The new kitchen has been fitted with custom Amish-built red oak cabinets and a stunning combination of green wall tiles. The U shape layout keeps the kitchen sink at the center with a cooking zone wall and refrigerator and small appliance space on the opposite legs. A deep double-well stainless sink at the center of the U shape design sits right below the new wider kitchen window. This deep sink means that it can wash large items&hellip; but it also means things are out of sight when they are in the sink as you pass by the kitchen. A suite of stainless-steel Whirlpool appliances from Village Home Stores completes the look.</p>

<h2>Before and After Remodel</h2>
<p>The home remodeling process can take time and a lot of patience when everything is handled correctly. Never trust a contractor who claims they can have your kitchen transformed in a weekend. An scheduling materials and crews in sequence is an important element to our process. But during that process is when you can address other areas of your home that have small projects needing attention. Ask your remodel project manager at Village during your contractor meeting if you are wanting electricians, plumbers, carpenters, or other crews to also knock something off other home project lists while they are working on your kitchen or bath remodel. Are we scheduling electricians for your remodel? Then maybe now is the time to fix a switch that needs it or install a new light fixture in the dining room or front entry. This way we can include the added line items to your schedule and your estimates and you can avoid paying trip charges or struggling to find crews willing to tackle small projects later. </p>

<p>As we shared in the video tour above, the kitchen remodel included reconfiguring the footprint of available kitchen space. The finished result was enough space for a u-shaped kitchen design that kept the sink below the kitchen window. As you can see above, we installed a new wider window during the renovation. Now there is a proper kitchen footprint and countertops and wall tile that spans the entire room. We moved a doorway in the left corner so now the cabinets and counter can return to the left side and build out a full cooking zone wall. </p>
<h2>Emerald Green Wall Tile for Backsplash and Accent Above Range</h2>
<p>The kitchen wall tile is one of the key elements to this complete design. I am sure you have already noticed this vibrant green statement that is made with color, sheen, shape, and texture. The cooking zone wall showcases these vibrant tones and textures best.</p>

<p>The wall tile is truly one of the key elements of this finished design. 4&rdquo; x 4&rdquo; glossy emerald green wall tiles are installed in a grid pattern. Above the range is an accent area of a diamond mosaic tile. The texture of this tile creates a waffled effect when the light hits it. This combination of textures and variations of color is stunning and the pairing with warm oak is a classic choice. We also included floating oak display shelving on the cooking wall in the same wood and finish.</p>
<h2>Red Oak Inset Shaker Style Cabinet</h2>
<p>The new kitchen has been installed with custom Amish-built Red Oak Cabinetry in a custom stain to match existing built in cabinets nearby. The cabinets are an inset style meaning the doors and drawer fronts close flush with the face frame of the cabinet boxes. This is a style perfect for historical properties and pairs well with the existing woodwork and antiques throughout the home. We included concealed hinges and matching faceted wood knob hardware to compliment that nearby dining room hutch original to the home. </p>

<p>A great kitchen design should never seem time-stamped, instead it should seem like it has been in place all along. Complimenting the home. Here we were able to include much-needed updates and better storage options in a kitchen design that does compliment the home and the collectible d&eacute;cor that our client curates. There is now plenty of new wall cabinet storage all the way to the ceiling and a shelf for a countertop microwave to be set above the counter leaving more room for other small appliances below. </p>
<h2>Blind Corner Swingout Base Cabinet </h2>

<p>In the corner to the right of the sink, we needed to allow space to add a dishwasher in the new design. This left us without enough space allowance for a standard &ldquo;Lazy Susan&rdquo; base cabinet. We did have enough space to include a &ldquo;blind corner cabinet&rdquo; And this one includes a game-changing storage solution inside designed to help you access the full storage potential of that corner space. The shelves pull out and swingout to allow you to storge the same kinds of items that would be in a Susan. Giving these homeowners a dishwasher finally and keeping an excellent storage solution at the corner. Press play below to see it in action:</p>

Red Oak Inset Kitchen Remodel in Rock Falls, Illinois

<p>Welcome to the open concept kitchen in a new Quad Cities home built in Bettendorf, Iowa featuring cabinetry, lighting and hardware from Village Home Stores for Advance Homes. This kitchen is found on the main level of the new construction home in a great room set up. The main kitchen design is an L-shape layout. There is a pantry at the corner, a statement range hood on the cooking wall, and a large kitchen island at the center. </p>
<h2>Painted Black and Maple Wheat Kitchen Design</h2>
<p>The design features two cabinet styles and finishes both from our Koch Classic Cabinetry line. The perimeter cabinetry is a painted black finish on <a href="https://kochandco.com/cabinets/"><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Koch Classic&rsquo;s Savanah</span></a> shaker style door. The kitchen island is a slab style door named Liberty in a Maple wood with a Wheat stain applied. At the center of the kitchen is a large single-level kitchen island. The island includes storage accessible from all sides, the kitchen sink and dishwasher, and an overhang for counter height seating.</p>

<p>There is a contrast in the cabinet finishes as well as the Emtek handle hardware. This is the Select series in a knurled rectangle style with Matte Black pulls on the Maple Wheat-stained island and Satin Bronze on the painted Black perimeter cabinets. </p>

<p>There is a stylish and subtle statement made on the cooking wall of the kitchen design. We collaborated with two local makers to build a range hood cabinet and add metal banding to it. Dusty Smith built a box-style range hood and included two horizontal grooves in it. We then had a local metalworker at Southwick Machine and Design insert bands in a brassy gold finish into the grooves. Those two narrow bands catch the light so perfectly as you move throughout the great room. The look is stunning and just another example of how we can help your ideas and inspirations found online become a reality. </p>

<p>The other side of the kitchen L-shape is home to a microwave drawer and the refrigerator. Just a few steps away from the kitchen there is a dry bar area in matching cabinetry to the kitchen. This versatile space bridges the area between the front entry/hallway and the entrance to the kitchen.</p>

<p>Dry bars are a wonderful element to consider for your kitchen design because they can be so versatile. Having a designated beverage area apart from the kitchen can be so helpful to keep guests out of the way as a host works in the main kitchen. Any normal day this space can become your coffee bar area. When entertaining you can set the dry bar up as a beverage center, a gift station, or even a place to park handbags and phones while entertaining. </p>

<h2>Corner Pantry False Front</h2>
<p>Another detail we love is the hidden pantry entrance at the corner of the kitchen. Right where the cooking and refrigerator walls of cabinetry meet is a corner pantry entrance that opens to a walk-in space much larger than any pantry cabinet could offer. </p>

<p>We can order matching pantry fronts for your kitchen design, and we have seen customers hide away pantries, laundry rooms, and even speakeasy bars behind them. This concept can also be installed on a straight run of cabinetry; it is not specific to a corner installation. </p>
<h2>Kitchen Island and Pendant Lighting</h2>
<p>The finishes in this open concept kitchen design all balance out so well. Even though the main cabinetry is a bold black paint, the rest of the finishes placed within an open space keep things from feeling too heavy or crowded. Using a lighter finish on the cabinet island keeps the visual weight of the large size minimized and light quartz countertops keep things feeling open as well.</p>

<p>Above the island hangs a trio of orb pendant lights. The pendants are named Albers and they are from our Kichler Lighting line. We love the simple round white glass paired with an intricate chain design that keeps the lines of the style clean but still very interesting to look at.</p>

<p>We helped design a new layout and gathered all the needed estimates from subcontractors before finalizing the remodel inclusion contracts and ordering products. Once materials began to arrive, the remodel process went into action with demo, removing walls, and scheduling all needed subcontractors. <p>We know that <a href="https://www.villagehomestores.com/blog/black-and-maple-kitchen-with-banded-hood"><span style="text-decoration: underline;">the last kitchen feature we shared on the blog</span></a> was also a painted black finish, but this example is another way to point to how versatile the finish can be. Black cabinets are a great option for those looking for a Transitional styled space without a white painted cabinet.</p>

<p>This new kitchen looks amazing with a mix of warm walnut flooring, marble and mirror tile, marble-like countertops, and geometric details. The cabinetry is from out Koch Classic line in the Savannah Shaker door style and a Painted black finish. The flooring is from our COREtec luxury vinyl plank line and this is the Tyro Walnut finish.</p>

<p>A beautiful space right? It has already been used for large family gatherings and once the rest of the new furniture arrives, the new open concept layout will become fully realized in this home. From the floors to the ceiling, and everything in between, we worked on it all. A complete overhaul of the space to give these homeowners a whole new home inside.</p>

<h2>Hidden Pantry and Coffee Station</h2>
<p>It is no secret anymore that we love to include hidden pantries when we are able to. In remodels they allow us to maximize the usable space available. Wouldn&rsquo;t you rather have a pantry like this instead of a cabinet just a few feet deep? Often we can borrow depth for the pantry space from the rooms surrounding the kitchen. In this case, we were able to rework the layout to use existing closet space and reroute the access to this hidden pantry front.</p>

<p>It is not just one of our favorite elements to the kitchen. We have heard from these clients that the favorite detail of the new kitchen for their grandkids is in fact this hidden pantry. <p>The wall of cabinetry installed on the Dining Room side of the new design includes a concealed coffee station. An appliance garage cabinet has been included in the space between the wall cabinets and the countertop. We have added an outlet inside of the floor-less cabinet so that the coffee pot can stay plugged in and only exposed when in use. When the doors are closed, this wall gives the look of a decorative hutch area and includes an &ldquo;X&rdquo; design in some of the doors with glass inserts. The glass door details are mirrored on the wall opposite it with the hidden pantry. Speaking of mirrors, check out that stunning mirror and marble mosaic tile on the wall! This is a Lavaliere Intertwining Arabesque mosaic tile from our Daltile line in a Carrara White with Black Mirror glass inserts. This tile selection elevates the finished kitchen to a whole new level. We love how it helps bounce light without having a disco ball effect in the room.</p>
<h2>The Cooking and Clean Up Zones of the Kitchen</h2>
<p>The cooking and cleaning zones of the new kitchen design are found right at the center of the space. The cooking wall is home to the counter-depth refrigerator surrounded by panels and a cabinet above. On the same wall a freestanding double oven KitchenAid range has generous countertop work surface on each side. The microwave hood installed above is one of our new flush-mount microhood options available from KitchenAid. This model allows the microwave to sit back flush with the cabinet doors instead of projecting out towards the user at the cooktop.</p>

<p>You will notice that on this center wall of the kitchen we carried the Vicostone Graylac quartz countertops up as a full-height backslash. We also want to point out the hardware in the new kitchen. We went with a black on black effect but the reason why it still works is there is a texture difference from the angles on the Wheeler series knobs making them easy to spot and grab onto. These Matte Black knobs are from our Jeffrey Alexander hardware line and come in a variety of finish options.</p>

<p>At the center of the new kitchen design is that large kitchen island. The island includes a single-level countertop with an overhang along the back and wainscot paneling on the side that faces the Living Room. On the interior side of the island is the kitchen sink and dishwasher. The soft curve of the countertop overhang can accommodate a long row of counter-height stools.</p>

Rural Remodel with Walls Removed and Hidden Pantry Added

Our team recaps what new Whirlpool, Maytag, and KitchenAid appliance features are new and launching soon across all categories.

<p>This Spring we were able to attend another industry convention with our buy group BrandSource. These opportunities give us a chance to meet with other independent dealers like Village to compare notes about best practices and learn about ways we can give our customers the best in-store and online shopping experience available. <h2>New Appliance Features Spotted in The Whirlpool Booth</h2>
<p>Village Home Stores offers the full lineup of appliances available from the Whirlpool Corp. family including Maytag, Whirlpool, and KitchenAid. We have never seen the booth so packed with NEW than we did at this show! We wanted to share a few highlights with you here, so you know what is shipping now and very soon. Some of these great new features may just be perfect for your household. Nearly the entire KitchenAid line has been redesigned and relaunched and there were also a lot of exciting new things to see from Maytag and Whirlpool. </p>
<h2>New In-Door Water and Ice Features </h2>
<p>Wish you could just walk away while your water bottle fills up? Done! Now select KitchenAid models have in-door water dispensers with an intelligent auto fill setting that allows you to be hands-free as you use it. You can set your water bottle or coffee pot in place and walk away to another task without fear that it will overfill. </p>
<p>This setting will fill your vessel to about 70% full and stop. You then have the option to tap to add more water to the level you desire. No presets or multiple steps, just a feature that allows you to get on with the next item on your list without waiting and watching your water dispenser. This feature is available on 5 &amp; 6 series models and can be ordered in the new Premium finishes from KitchenAid. Press play below to see it in action.</p>

<p>Love the soft, chewable texture of nugget ice? Now you can have it at home with the industry-first door dispensing nugget ice on two new KitchenAid refrigerator models. If you have (or have been dreaming of) a countertop nugget ice maker but don&rsquo;t want to take up the space on the countertop, this new feature is for you. This dispenser design can make and store 2 lbs of nugget ice in the door and dispenser. Two counter-depth models from KitchenAid will include nugget ice, a French door unit and a 4-door option with a middle drawer. These models are a true counter depth with &ldquo;dual ice&rdquo; configuration. The in-door nugget ice and standard icemaker in the freezer produces up to 20 lbs. of ice a day. </p>

<p>You can get a built-in look with these new models without the built-in refrigeration price tag. Plus the units measure just 69&rdquo; tall so they are a fantastic high-feature option that is more likely to fit within an existing fridge opening you may have. The True Clearance hinges on the units open up to 135 degrees, beating the competition that only opens to 117. </p>
<h2>Intelligent Cooking and Doneness Detection </h2>
<p>We had a chance to watch the new 9 series wall ovens in action and wow! This is a great example of a smart appliance that actually saves you steps and time in the kitchen. It truly is as simple as placing something in the oven, letting it tell you on the control what it is and then selecting how you want it prepared. Trust us, it&rsquo;s very simple. <p>The staff in the booth baked cookies all day in this wall oven and I can confirm that the cookies turned out perfect. She adjusted the knob for a batch we sampled to the soft side for the doneness detection and they we so delicious. </p>

<h2>New Refrigerator Features</h2>
<p>We love the side-by-side refrigeration in our showroom from Maytag that has a new Arctic Blue interior. Now French Door refrigeration has an Arctic Blue interior and upgraded storage story is available beginning this Spring. The interior lighting and shelving options are great and there is even a metal gallon door bin to hold the cold even better in that zone. </p>

<p>Many of the new models coming from Whirlpool and Maytag include a shallow shelf that is attached to the door of the in-door ice dispenser. Now that the new in door dispensers have a lower profile, this added shelf is added storage. Since it shares a back &ldquo;wall&rdquo; with the ice machine, this is an &ldquo;Extra Cold Zone&rdquo; shelf perfect for quickly chilling a beverage or keeping other items at their most cold option up in the refrigerator. </p>

<p>Freezer storage continues to improve as well, and the Maytag unit shown in the video above even includes a quieter compressor with a lower noise-level and the same 10 year part warranty our customers love in a Maytag refrigerator. </p>
<h2>Industry-First UV Clean Tech in a Whirlpool Washer Tower </h2>
<p>What if the water you are washing your laundry with could be even cleaner before it gets to work with your laundry? The new UV Clean option gives you that piece of mind. Launching on the new 27&rdquo; wide Whirlpool laundry tower, all you have to do is select this option ahead of any cycle you select. When selected, a UV light is directed at the water below your washer drum. This UV tech reduces odor-causing bacteria throughout the entire cycle, giving continuous exposure to the water in your machine. Don&rsquo;t worry that blue light in this image below isn&rsquo;t a UV light for you to stare at, it is just an indicator light for when the option is selected. Pretty cool ambient light though, isn&rsquo;t it? And this UV tech has been tested for up to 25 years of use so you can have confidence selecting it with all cycles you run. It doesn&rsquo;t add any more time to the wash cycle, just bacteria-fighting benefits. </p>

<p>UV Clean, an interior fan and dry drum cycle, Fresh Flo Vent system, AND an antimicrobial seal on the drum! Now that is a winning combination. Oh yeah, and there is also a new &ldquo;Handwash&rdquo; cycle on this unit that focuses the wash cycle to just soaking and a low wash plate movement to keep your items protected and coming out clean. A controlled spin designed just for this Handwash cycle carefully removes water and helps to keep your items to shape and size. If you have some items that you handwash in the sink, this setting is for you. NOTE: this handwash cycle is designed to give your items *care and attention. *That care and attention means the cycle runs just over 2 hours. </p>
<h2>More Features to Look Forward to in Future Product Launches</h2>
<p>Sometime next year we will start to see this new Clear Vue door counter-depth refrigerator begin to ship. We had a chance to see the unit, and this feature is very cool! The interior lights up as you approach it and you can choose to open just the clear door for something within reach or pull open the entire right door on the unit to access the full interior.</p>

It will come in a new linen finish and brass details to share. </p>

New Appliance Models and Features

A Geneseo, Illinois kitchen remodel before and after story that removes a corner sink and kitchen soffits for a fresh new look.

<p>Welcome to a newly remodeled kitchen in Geneseo, Illinois from the complete start-to-finish remodel project management team at Village Home Stores. This remodel before and after story really helps us showcase our main goal with every project here at Village to reinvent how life is lived at home. This kitchen is gorgeous and the finishes selected are transitional and in trend with the same styles and finishes we are installing at our new home projects.</p>

<h2>Kitchen Remodel with Maple Cashew Bases and Shoji White Uppers</h2>

<p>One of our biggest brags about this space is this look has been achieved using our entry-level cabinet line Midland Cabinets. Midland allows us to use standard stocks sizes and sku's of cabinetry to create functional layouts and still gives us door style and finish options that are right on target for a great look. This kitchen design is a combination of two finishes on the same door. The Pioneer recessed shaker door from Midland is installed with wall cabinetry in a painted Shoji White finish. The bases and tall refrigerator surround area are the same door in a Maple wood and Cashew stain.</p>

<p>We love any chance to build out a custom look without having to hand over a custom price to a customer. This new refrigerator pantry area looks magazine-cover ready, and it is achieved using three standard cabinet sku's. Two tall, 24" deep pantry cabinets bookend the space for the fridge with a 24" deep wall cabinet above the fridge to complete the frame. By finishing the two exposed ends of the pantries and surrounding the top area with a crown molding, you get an inspired new section of storage for pantry and fresh/frozen items all in one place.</p>

<p>The tall pantries are wide enough to also include slide-out shelves in the lower sections making it even easier to organize and see everything you have on hand. This new kitchen layout left plenty of walkway in front of the fridge, so there was no need to purchase a counter-depth model. Instead, a new <span style="text-decoration: underline;"><a href="https://www.villagehomestores.com/product/whirlpool-33-221-cu-ft-fingerprint-resistant-stainless-steel-freestanding-french-door-refrigerator-wrff5333pz-1328208" target="_blank">33" wide French door Whirlpool fridge</a></span> gives this busy household maximum storage in a standard unit.</p>

<h2>So Long Corner Kitchen Sink!</h2>

<p>The kitchen design includes a peninsula leg that extends towards the end of the space but no longer turns the corner. These homeowners used this opportunity to show their old corner sink the exit door! Look at these before and after shots of that one layout change/choice to eliminate that corner sink:</p>

<p>Corner kitchen sinks used to be such an interesting new option years ago... but have you ever tried to live with one. Especially a single-well design? This client was excited to swap out a small single-well kitchen sink for an upgrade that includes space and function.</p>

<p>By extending the sink wall straight without a turn there is now plenty of space to include a standard sized dishwasher and a sink base that can fit this 33" Vault33 Kohler undermount sink. This sink is a double-well design with a lowered "smart divide" at the center. This lower divider allows you to still fill a well to soak or wash items but also gives you flexibility to keep larger items like cookie sheets and pans with long handles within the sink area while you soak and wash them.</p>

<p>One of the great new upgrades for this kitchen footprint is the added storage from extending the wall cabinets all the way up to the ceiling. In the tour above we mentioned that we removed soffits to achieve this... but what the heck is that? Let's unpack that term a bit together.</p>

<h2>What's a Kitchen "Soffit," "Bulkhead," or "Drop" and What Might Be Inside of One?</h2>

<p>Does your kitchen or bathroom have a drop area of wall/ceiling that comes down to meet the cabinetry or trim? Typically these are just over a foot deep and 1-2 feet tall areas called a "soffit" or a "bulkhead". Take a peek at the before and after image below to see an example from this remodel story.</p>

<p>Years ago, these soffits were a feature clients wanted for aesthetics. They filled space, added interest, and helped curb the cost of installing taller wall cabinets while filling that gap from the ceiling to the kitchen wall cabinets. Kitchen soffits offer the option to build the illusion of a custom fit without purchasing more cabinetry.</p>

<p>They also provided a space-planning solution for elements that may normally be concealed in a ceiling. There is not likely hidden treasure inside your kitchen soffit, but there may be something hiding as a utility chase. We have never found hidden treasure in a soffit, but we have found other things including the unexpected like the bottom part of the bathtub base in the bathroom above and these more common examples:</p>

<li><strong>Plumbing or Electrical Paths</strong>: From rooms above or next to your kitchen.</li>
<li><strong>Hardware and Wiring</strong>: For recessed can lighting or fixtures visible from below.</li>

<p>The good news is that Village Home Stores is your regional remodel team. We have just about seen it all over the years and our goal is to have a good idea of what may be within your soffits early in the planning stages of your remodel. Of course, we may still discover the unexpected once full demo begins, but we do know steps we can take to gather more clues and context of your space when we do a site visit, and again when we schedule your contractor meeting with our team and the subcontractors. We will always meet your issues with solutions when we arrive at any remodel obstacle.</p>

<h2>Bringing Cabinets to the Ceiling</h2>

<p>It is not groundbreaking news that as we enter into 2027 kitchen trendspotting season we simply have more kitchen stuff. We like our kitchen stuff. We want our kitchen stuff nearby for when we need it. We need a place for that kitchen stuff. We would like that kitchen stuff in the kitchen. For many of our kitchen remodel customers, found space in the soffits is a gift. This is because not every remodel we do can include knocking out a wall or opening up a space more. Many times, we are still limited to the same footprint for the new kitchen design.</p>

<p>But standard 30" tall wall cabinets now are a thing of the past. Even in standard height kitchen spaces, our customers request for the cabinetry to go all the way up to the ceiling. <p>We were also able to stretch out the countertop space in the new design. The new coffee station area now has been extended to include more cabinet storage above and below and a lot more countertop surface for a landing zone and work space.</p>
