Colorful Kitchen Wall Tile
Once we saw the selections made for this new home, we knew we had to reach out to visit it once they moved in. What a refreshing reminder that color can completely influence the energy of a space. We were so excited that this couple partnered with Village for the wall tile and flooring in their new home. We knew it would be a fun project when Brad at our store tried to show this customer a white subway tile during her first appointment. Her response was no thank you… but how about purple?! They selected an elongated 3” x 12” wall tile from our Ceramic Tile Works line in a bold, vibrant color.
This Lifestyles series of tiles is called “Oasis” and can be ordered in a wide variety of color options. Surrounded by rich, vibrant jewel tones in this kitchen, “Burgundy” was used in a gloss finish. The backsplash is installed in a vertical herringbone pattern with the tiles double stacked and a black flex grout. Vinyl Plank Flooring For Your Home
Of course, the largest amount of surface material in any home is the flooring. And with so many other bold colors in this space, something neutral was needed to set the stage here. But neutral should never be just one note, friends. Selecting a multi-tonal plank surface allows you to blend in your furnishings instead of strictly matching them all. Instead of one solid wood color, consider plank with a variety of wood tones in it. This is a floating vinyl plank floor color named “Eagle Rock” from the Keystone series by RigidCORE. Custom Shower Tile For Your Home
We also provided tile surfaces for the bathrooms in this new home. Our favorite bathroom selection was for the custom tile shower shown above. A 12” x 24” fluted-texture tile from Ceramic Tiles Works lines the shower walls. The Series is named “Molten Kaptur,” and the color is “Verde Raku”. It is amazing how the texture AND size of a tile can impact a tile shower design. Using large-format tiles means fewer grout lines to see (and clean). Larger tiles can help to give a high-end look and make the space appear larger itself. Reeded and fluted textures are trending big-time in-home furnishings, and this shower showcases a fluted texture so well. This tile series can be ordered smooth or with this texture.
Love the look of this Raku series of tile in a shower? Check it out installed here in another Bettendorf home using a darker “Nero” colorway and wet-rated LED lighting in the shower niche for a very cool effect. Speaking of light, this shower has some natural light in it thanks to a clearstory window near the top of the center wall.
