We just installed two new displays upstairs in the cabinet showroom at Village Home Stores. The smaller of the two was a bar design featured a few weeks ago here in a previous post. And now, we have a chance to show you the other display that features our Wynnbrooke Cabinetry line. We chose two of our best-selling finishes and door styles to showcase in this display. The response from the customers and builders who have seen this in person has been great.
It is always so interesting to see what each guests comments about at their favorite part. For some it is the bright, airy look of the cabinet finishes. For others it is the shimmer and glam of the countertop and wall surfaces. No matter what grabs your attention first, the complete display certainly makes a big impact.
White Oak and Painted Linen White Cabinets
A few years ago, “White Oak” re- entering the scene trending in kitchen and bath design. As it became requested more and more, our first source for our clients was from our Wynnbrooke line. The interest in white oak has only grown as we have now installed many projects using this wood species, commonly in the very same door and finish of the display we are featuring.
The bases and tall cabinets are the Denali door in a White Oak wood with the “Sand” stain applied. All of the Wall cabinets and the main portion of the hood is the Mission door in the ”Linen” paint. Love the look of white oak in the Sand finish? Be sure to check out this recent blog feature of an entire kitchen installed in with it. The wood tone is warm but not too red/orange like the oak finishes we saw a bunch of in the 80’s and 90’s. White oak takes lighter stains leaving a more coastal, airy look. A lot of home furnishings and accents are available to compliment these wood tones. We even have options from our lighting department that would pair perfectly with a white oak kitchen in an open concept layout.
This display features a powerful cooking package including a front-control gas range and double wall ovens. Each of these units is from our Whirlpool line. Press play below to watch a super quick tour of this sparkling new kitchen install.
Gold and Brass Accents in the Kitchen
Warm metallics like gold, brass, and bronze have been a fashionable accent in home interiors for a long time. We see more and more options becoming available in lighting, hardware, and accessories in gold-like finishes. Surfaces have also taken notice of this trend. We were so excited to glam up this display with two gold shimmering details on the kitchen surfaces.
A marble brick pattern mosaic was installed vertically bookending the cooktop area. And not just any marble tile, this one comes with gold metal inserts to accent the brick pattern. We chose to have Sam install this display with the tile running up and down and including a clean row of the metal accents right at the seam where the tile meets the tops. This title is from our Daltile line and it is the “Lavaliere Alluring White” series.
Another shimmering metallic is found in the Cambria Quartz surface we selected for the kitchen. This design is names “OakLeigh” and it has a cool white base with rich dark veins of black and gold. Oakleigh is shown here in a gloss finish but also can be installed in a matte finish slab.
What Does Full Access or Frameless Cabinetry Mean?
This cabinet line uses a frameless, European-style of construction making the cabinet box fully accessible. But what is “full-access” and why would you want that? Without the face-frame of a cabinet overlapping the cabinet box, you can have wider drawers and interior cabinet and shelf space for storage. This translates up to 15% more usable storage in a kitchen footprint than a traditional overlay kitchen.
The look once everything is installed is also very clean and sleek. Learn more about Wynnebrooke Cabinetry styles, finishes, and construction options here on their website. We can bid you this cabinet line for projects of all sizes. From a single bath vanity to an entire home of cabinets, ask your expert kitchen designer at Village to see our options from this line.
Your cabinet designer from Village Home Stores will help you plan to make the most of every available inch for your space. Specifying storage options specific to your needs. We choose to add a fun and clever option for the drawer above your pull-out waste basket cabinet. Take a look below.
Pull out waste bin cabinets are no longer a kitchen wish list item; they are an expected staple of any functional design. This top-drawer option includes a removable cutting board that has a hole drilled and sanded into it so you can chop and scrape right into the waste can below. Of course, we had to install some new flooring surfaces to vibe with the new display as well.
