We always aim to keep our showroom up to date with samples and displays of the products we offer from Village Home Stores. We love to showcase fully installed examples of cabinet designs. Because we offer so many categories of products at Village, those displays can be very complete and realistic. From flooring surfaces to light fixtures, and everything else in between. We use these displays in the store to showcase finishes as well as showing real applications to get a better understanding of the size, scale, and feel of what we sell. Upstairs in our cabinet showroom we just installed this home bar display and wanted to share with you some of the great selections and features it has.
Koch Cabinetry in Birch Bedford Door and Pecan Stain
This bar display is one of 19 installed cabinet displays in the Village Home Stores showroom. It showcases cabinetry and options from our Koch Cabinetry line. The door style is named Bedford and it is installed in a Birch wood species and has a “Pecan” stain applied. Bedford is an example of a “skinny shaker” style door. This just means that the door and drawer front rails and stiles form a narrow frame. This door can be ordered and used in several different styles. Skinny shaker doors can lean both Contemporary in style and also New Traditional when paired with the proper wood species and finish. Because Bedford is so versatile, it makes it a great door for Transitional styled spaces.
Every detail of a successful design needs to look like it was always a part of the entire big picture. A great example of this is to install your wall tile surface ahead of final elements like shelving and trim. That way it never looks like an afterthought or last step. In this case, we installed a full wall of beautiful mosaic wall tile ahead of installation of the open shelving. Our carpenters first framed in the space with end caps and a top “ceiling” shelf. Once the tile and grout were in place, the remaining birch shelves went in. The finished look allows the Daltile “Linked Rings” mosaic to be one bold statement and seem less like chopped up elements. This mosaic is installed in the Stratus White colorway and Honed finish.
Paper Towel Cabinet Drawer Modification
Village Home Stores offers many specialty cabinets for your kitchens, home bars, bathrooms, home offices, and more. Aside from specific cabinets and specialty inserts, we also offer many modifications. You can modify a lot about a standard cabinet to help customize it to your project needs. Top drawers can be modified in height, drawer front styles, and drawer guides. Of course, the drawer box itself can even be upgraded. Dividers, knife blocks, spice shelves, and charging stations are among favorites. Press play below to see our dramatic feature of another cabinet modification option available.
The top drawer of this cabinet in our bar design was ordered with an exposed paper towel dispenser. For the right project, this modification can be a great option. In the case of a home bar or kitchenette design, now there can be one less item on the countertop surface. To access the roll and replace it with a new one, simply open the drawer and lift up the wooden dowel. Want to know you always have some more paper towels on deck? There is available storage right inside the drawer for more rolls.
The countertop surface in this display is from our Hanstone Quartz line. We offer the full line of Hanstone quartz surfaces and this is a design named “Storm”. The quartz has a smooth, matte “Riverwash” finish applied for a sueded look and feel.
