We wanted to feature this Quad Cities home on the blog because it is a fantastic example of the variety of custom window treatments available to Village Home Stores customers. Did you know that we have a full lineup of custom shades and blinds from multiple brands and our own trained team of installers in-house? We offer Midwest-made products and a limited lifetime warranty on those goods. We have curated a lineup of products and features that align with the quality our customers have come to expect from Village.
We just wrapped up the installation of Lafayette Interior Fashions window treatments at this Bettendorf, Iowa, home, so let’s take a look at some of the selections that were made and installed.
Custom Window Shades and Blinds in a Variety of Styles
We measure and install our custom shades ourselves and offer free measures and client access to all our sample books. It is important to note that you do not have to commit to the same style of window solutions for your entire home. Each space has a unique use and need, so let our experts guide you to the right options for it. In this home, we included many styles of window coverings in a variety of colors.
Our faux wood blinds are a great option for window blinds that marry well with many styles. They are shown above in a cordless textured white “Lotus Plus” with an inside-mount installation. Faux wood blinds look right at home with Traditional, Transitional, and even Modern or Contemporary-styled spaces. Want to see them in action? Peek at this installed example we posted here on our Instagram page. Another versatile option with a nearly infinite amount of color and texture options is roller shades.
Shown above installed in the garage of this home, roller shades offer privacy while taking up a minimal amount of space for the shade when not in use. The garage shades shown in the example above are an inside-mount installation in the Serene “LF Slate” color.
Measured and Installed by Experts on Staff
Once you have decided on a style and made selections for the materials of your window coverings, our team will schedule a final measure ahead of ordering. Once they are completed at the workroom and arrive at Village Home Stores, we will schedule an installation date for our staff install crew.
See Our Bestseller in Action
What’s our bestselling option? That title still belongs to our Transitions shades. These custom-ordered window shades feature alternating panels of fabric and sheers that adjust as you operate them. This style remains our most-requested option, offering a very chic look and extremely practical features.
Transitions shades allow you to customize and control the amount of light and privacy you get from them. You can align the panels up to let in some light through the sheer sections or stagger to block out light and add full privacy. The best way to see what we mean is to watch them in action. We made a short video while Natasha was programming the remotes at this home, take a look:
The Transitions shades featured in that video are from our Lafayette line in the “Aurora Storm” color and come with rechargeable motors and remotes. This is an example of a Modern Cassette with an inside mount installation.
A style of cassette and mounting options will be discussed with our sales team and may vary depending on your existing window trim styles. But rest assured, we can handle and cover any situation. Press play below to watch a 30-second video about a tricky corner installation that our team and the client were able to come up with.
By combining inside and outside mount shades, we were able to keep a clean installed look with aligned lines for the shades and still offer full-width coverage of the windows with limited installation space available in the corner. Installations like these can be challenging, but not impossible. Shopping for shades with us? Snap a few reference photos for the windows we are quoting. Our team will still be there to measure ahead of ordering any products, but sometimes, an image snapped with your phone can help inspire solutions quicker with our sales team.
A Dream Dual Shade Setup
What happens when you take our best-selling Transitions shades and add another feature? You get a dream dual-shade setup perfect for bedrooms. Our team can layer up features for you in a number of combinations. In this Bettendorf, Iowa home, we installed Lafayette’s Couplitaire (Dual Shades) system, giving the clients two layers of shades.
Both shades are concealed behind a matching fabric valance with motorized/rechargeable motors. Press play below to see this dream setup perfect for daytime sleepers or any fans of sleeping in past sunrise.
You can customize the amount of light and privacy in your bedroom, plus you have the added option to black out daylight… and all without having to get out of bed.
Blackout shades can be a game-changing investment for those who have sleep schedules that put them in bed during the daytime. Could the primary bedroom in your home be a great place to block that daylight when you need to? Our thanks to Aspen Homes and these amazing customers for allowing us to show you the shades we installed in the home. These new home customers also purchased their cabinetry, countertops, lighting, and appliances from our store.
